The Healthy Environments Active Living Program uses statewide data to understand the impact of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity in Utah. 

Data helps us to understand:

  • How many Utahns are affected by cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and their risk factors, including physical inactivity and cigarette smoking.
  • Which groups have higher rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and their risk factors compared to the general Utah population.How the health of Utah's population compares to the health of the U.S. population.
  • How the prevalence of chronic diseases and their risk factors change over time.
