Data and Reports

The Healthy Environments Active Living Program uses statewide data to understand the impact of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity in Utah.

Data helps us to understand:

  • How many Utahns are affected by cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and their risk factors, including physical inactivity and cigarette smoking.
  • Which groups have higher rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and their risk factors compared to the general Utah population.
  • How the health of Utah's population compares to the health of the U.S. population.
  • How the prevalence of chronic diseases and their risk factors change over time.
